I grew up in a small town on the coast. It was actually a great upbringing - loving family, friends close by, great house.

The melodrama of this song (and it is a bit melodramatic) is more reflective of how I started to feel around my early twenties. I wanted to move away, to get to the city and to make my own life.

I also began to feel properly depressed for the very first time after I returned home from a tour. This song is one I wrote many years later, thinking about what was going on in my mind then, and the feeling of the shine coming off a place. I still love that town and my parents still live there, but this is just one emotion tied to it.

Written by Evan Jones. Mixed and mastered by Zac Barter. Thanks to James Howlett for playing bass on this one and all my love to Georgia for another amazing piece of cover art.
